Have you ever walked into a meeting and wished you could use the time for something else? Productive and fun meetings are more than possible. The trick is in the meeting design and facilitation.

Meeting FacilitationA productive meeting is well planned and designed so that no one’s time is wasted, discussions are focused and meaningful and specific goals are achieved. Meetings can be productive and fun when they allow for some playfulness, humour and flexibility.  Once you have a few productive meetings the participants learn new thinking habits and are better able to have spontaneous or unplanned productive meetings as the new norm.


Solution Labs

What is a Solution Lab?

SolutionLabA solution lab is a time and space for people to collaborate in finding a creative solution to a complex problem under the guidance of a skilled facilitator. A solution lab is like a traditional meeting in the sense that it brings knowledgeable people together. It is different from a traditional meeting in the sense that the focus is on thinking creatively, on tapping into our imaginations, and taking the courage to try new ideas. It is a space where mistakes are welcome as learning opportunities while time and resources are used efficiently.

How does it work?

We work with the organization as a whole, involving staff at all levels in the design and implementation of the development plan. Our expertise is in supporting organizations to create a work environment, policies, and processes that foster creative thinking and innovation.  We train staff in creative problem solving and strategic thinking and form project teams that combine people with differing styles and strengths into a well functioning project team.  We also acknowledge that some times the best innovations result from individual work as opposed to team collaboration. For this reason, we help organizations discover their people’s strengths and how to make the most out of their intellectual capital.
